The CSAT® (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist) program offers premier resources, training and support for practitioners specialising in addiction. The CSAT® program was founded and developed by Dr Patrick Carnes, who is a leading addiction expert, after years of extensive research, experience and training in the field of addiction therapy.  The goal of these training and certification programmes is to educate and empower practitioners in delivering a new level of treatment aimed at people who suffer from addictive behavioUrs.

CSAT® candidates must complete four modules of training, in addition to required readings and assignments, along with clinical supervision.

For those of you who are interested in this benchmark training, negotiations are underway between SHIFT New Zealand and IITAP with regards to SHIFT participants attending this programme, and even the possibility of bringing the programme to New Zealand. This potential will be further addressed at the SHIFT NZ Review Forum on 23 April 2016.
